Rush, age 74, of Farwell, passed away Saturday, February 17, at Ingham Medical Center in Lansing. She was born the daughter of Edward and Stella Edwards on March 13, 1926 in River Rouge. She married Henry Tait in 1946 in Detroit and he passed away in 1965. She later married William Rush in 1969 in Detroit and he survives her. She had been a bookkeeper and switchboard operator for Wayne Shop Co., Ford Motor Co., and the V.A. Medical Center in Allen Park. She had lived in Allen Park, Mikado and was a Farwell area resident. She was a member of the St. Cecilia Catholic Church in Clare, and was active in the Clare Lions Club. She had been a member of the Mikado Goodfellows Club, St. Raphael's Altar Society, St. Vincent DePaul Thrift Store in Mikado, the American Legion, the Michigan State Independent Living Council, and the Commission for the Blind. Corrine is survived by her husband William; her children: Corrin Tait of Ventura, CA, Art and Cathy Tait, Norma Valdez, Sheila and Richard Moore, Hank and Mary Tait, John and Chris Tait, all of Farwell; Paul Tait of Ventura, CA, James and Sharon Tait of Clare, Lawrence and Robin Tait of Farwell, Rosie and Jim Harville of Belmont, Sharyn and Rick Osmond of Rochester Hills, and Penny Papo and Frank Bouman of Big Rapids. Also surviving are her brother Jack (Dorothy) Edwards of Riverview; 34 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. Her first husband Henry Tait and son Edward Tait preceded her. Funeral services were held on Wednesday, February 21 at ll:00 am from the St. Cecilia Church in Clare. Memorials may be made to the Penkickon Center for Children in Taylor. The Stephenson-Wyman Funeral Home, Inc. of Clare, made arrangements.
