Obituary from Clare County Cleaver, Harrison, MI -- January 25, 200l

Erma Arlene Rocket, age 64 of Lake, passed away Jauary 19, 200l, at the
home of her son.  She was born the daughter of Edward and Clara
(Courter) Wixson, in Gilmore Township on Aug. 9, 1936.  She married
Wesley Hockey in 1954 in Evart, and he preceded her in death on July 27,
1999.  Erma was a member of the Bethany Baptist Church in Lake.
      Erma is survived by her children: Gene (Debbie) Hockey of Lake,
Carol (Rick) Graham of Grand Rapids, Judy (Gene) Rulapaugh of Clare, a
brother Louie Wixson of Lake, sisters Ethel Boulis of Sanford, Marion
Ferguson of Lake, and Sid Vinton of Beal City.  Also surviving are seven
grandchildren and three step-grandchildren.   She was preceded in death
of a brother Andrew and sisters Thelma and Betty.
      Funeral Services were held on Monday, January 22 at ll:00 am from
the Stephenson-Wyman Funeral Home in Clare, with Pastor Latt Edwards
officiating.  Burial was in the Gilmore township Cemetery.  Memorials
may be made to Hospice of Clare County or the Bethany Baptist Church in
Lake.
