Frederick was born May 20, 1920 in Muskegon, the son of John and Mary (McGoon) Russell. He was a WWII Veteran, and long-time Evart area resident. On May l, 1948 he married Minnie Spencer in Barryton. Surviving Frederick are his six sons: Mitchell (Bella) Russell of Mt. Pleasant, Pennsylvania, Mallory (Laurie) Russell of Leroy, Mi. Martin Russell of Bristol, Pennsylvania, Marlind (Kathleen) Russell of Mears, Myles (Robin) Russell of Goldsboro, North Caroline, Mark (Yvonne) Russell of Farwell; three daughters: Mary Miller of Hersey, Marjie (Daniel) Mcanally of Romulus, and Mildred (Thomas) Emery of Grand Rapids; 21 great-grandchildren; ll great-great-grandchilden, and numerous loving nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Milinda Renee Russell; two infant grandchildren, son-in-law Dennis Miller; three sisters and five brothers. Funeral services were held on Wednesday June 9,1999 at the South Evart Free Mehodist Church with Rev. Thomas Hicks and Rev. Stephen Scot officiating. Interment was in Church Cemetery, Chippewa Twp., in Mecosta County. Memorials may be made to the Clare/Gladwin Service for the Aging.
