Mr. Gillen was born May 15, 1920 in Ann Arbor, Michigan, the daughter of Alfred and Naomi Bommer. Rachel was united in marriage to Grover, "Bob" Gillen on Febrary 20, 1943 in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Mr. and Mrs. Gillen had resided in Harrison since moving from Holly, Michigan. Mr. Gillen was predeceased by her husband on March ll, 2001. Surviving are one son, Pat Gillen and fiancee Sandra Newberry of Clare; one daughter, Ruth Anne Lyons and husband James of Indian River, Michigan; one brother, William Bommer and wife Donna of Florida; six grandchildren, six great grand children, one great great grandchild, one niece, Kathleen Putman; three nephews, David Putman and wife Georgia, Michael Putman and Daniel Putman. Rachel was also precedeased by her parents and one sister. Memorial services were held on Friday, July 13, 200l at 2:00 pm from Stocking Funeral Home, Harrison, with Elder Dale Beavers officiating. Arrangements were entrusted to Stocking Funeral Home, Harrison. jic
