MARTHA SERSAW Martha Sersaw was born March 17, 1859, in Belleville, Canada and died at her home in Hamilton, Clare County, July 31, 1934, at the age of 75 years, 4 months, 14 days. She was married to Robert Sersaw in 1880. To this union were born 14 children, six preceding her in death. Her husband died March 31, 1926. Those left to mourn her loss are Mrs. Hattie Mose, Saginaw; Emma Muma, Grayling; George, Lorenzo, and Ellis, at home; John, James, and William, of Hamilton township, Clare County, 29 grandchildren. Mrs. Sersaw was one of our oldest pioneers, having lived in Hamilton township for over 50 years. She was a kind and loving mother and loved by all who know her. She joined the Latter Day Saints church in 1912. The funeral was held at the Allen Schoolhouse, conducted by Elder George W. Bailey. Burial was at the Highland Cemetery at Gladwin.
