Obituaries from the Clare County Cleaver, November 2, 2000

Ralph L. Stowe, age 69 of Farwell, passed away Friday, October 27, 2000
at the Gratiot Community Hospital in Alma.  Ralph was born the son of
LeRoy and Lena (Harmon) Stowe  on June l, 1931 in Petoskey.  Ralph had
moved to the Farwell area from Redford township in 1976.  Ralph married
the former Shirley Schaar on December 19, 1991.  He was a member of the
Moose Lodge of Clare, and the Clare Eagles.  Ralph worked as a Broach
Maker Manager for Federal Broach, Farwell Plant.
      Surviving Ralph is his wife Shirley; a son Ralph Stowe of Petoskey;
two daughters Lora Hinkley of Petoskey, ahd Lisa (Dan) Ahac, of Lake, a
step daughter Breanda Goodrich, two brothers, Donald (Wanda) Stowe of
Livonia and Robert (Jean) Stowe of Charlevoix; four sisters, Hilda Matz
of Novi, Florence Cline of Wayland, Alice (Michael) Martin of Mt.
Pleasant, and Marjorie (Fredrick Rost) Brown of Gladwin; six
grandchildden.  Ralph was prececeased by his parents; a son Michael, and
siblings Clarence, Henry, Irene Friday, Marion Hogan, and Elsie Dikow.
      Services took place on Monday, October 30 at 2:00 pm with the Elder
Dee Beavers officiating.  Burial was in the Surrey Township Cemetery in
Farwell.  Memorials may be made to the national Kidney Foundation.
