Scott, age 77, of Lake, formerly of Freeland, passed away suddenly at the Mid Michigan Medical Center in Clare on Sunday, October 29th. Joseph was born the son of Cloise and Mary (Ockert) Scott on April 8, 1923 in Farwell. He married the former Iovia Wymer on June 24, 1995. Joseph had been a farmer, farming his own farm with his father and brother. Joseph was described by his family as a "Jack of all trades". Surviving Joseph is his wife Iovia; six children; siblings Elton Scott and Beatrice Fletcher, 13 grandchildren; four great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; and several nieces and nephews. Joseph was predeceased by a daughter Margaret; a brother Donald and a step son Brian. Services were Tuesday, October 31, at l pm at Stephenson-Wyman Funeral Home with Pastor Eugene Baughan officiating. Burial was at the Pine Grove Cemetery near Freeland on Tuesday at 3:15 pm. Memorials may be made to the family of Joseph Scott. Arrangements were by Stepheson-Wyman Funeral Home, Inc. of Clare.
