(Seiter) Strobel, age 95, of Saginaw, passed away Thursday, August 19, at Tendercare Nursing Home in Clare. She was born the daughter of Jacob and Minnie (Allen) Seiter, on Aug. 10, 1904, in Rosebush. She was married to Orrin Alt on Feb. 4, 1928 in Toledo and he preceded her in death in 1945. She later married Walter Strobel on July 18, 1959, and he died in 1961. She was a retired teacher and had taught in Marion, Rochester, St. Clair, and Saginaw Schools. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Stars, and the First Presbyterian Church in Saginaw. Marie is survived by her brothers, Floyd Seiter and Robert A. Seiter both of Rosebush and a sister Mabel Blessing of Midland. She was preceded in death by her husbands and two sisters, Esther Warnock and Vera Ahlvorn. Funeral services were held on Tuesday, August 24, at 1:30 pm from the Stephenson-Wyman Funeral Home in Clare with Pastor Richard Fulkerson officiating. Burial was in the Cherry Grove Cemetery in Clare.
