May 27, 1999 Julia R. Sclesky died on Friday May 21, 1999 at Gratiot Community Hospital in Alma, MI. She has resided in Harrison for the last four years, coming from Florida. Julia was employed as a Bus Aid for the Florida School system retiring in 1991. She loved crocheting, especially afgans and dolls. She also enjoyed gardening and nature in general. Julia was born on March 29, 1919 to Mary (Legros) and William Huber in Ashville, PA. They precede her in death. Julia is survived by her five daughters, Rebecca (John) Bishop of CA, Michelle (Steve) Fontenot of S.D., Eugenia (Steve) Stefan of Auburn Hills, MI, Rose Marie (Jack) Stefan of Oxford, MI., and Mary Kay (Patrick) Vickers of CA., her two sons Duane (Roxanne) Sclesky of FL, and William (Margaret)Sclesky of Harrison, and her sister Gertrude (Bud) Lapeer of FL., numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. A memorial service was held 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, May 26, 1999 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Gladwin, with Father Julius Spleet officiating. Cremation has taken place at Valley Crematory, Prudenville, MI. Arrangements were made through Great Lakes Crematioin Service, Harrison, MI.
