Obituaries from the Clare County, Cleaver, Sepember 2, 1999

Dennis David Smith, 46, of Harrison, passed away suddenly Monday, August
23, 1999, at Mercy Hospial, Grayling, Michigan.  Dennis was born January
15, 1953, in Detroit, Michigan, the son of Robert E. and Geraldine P.
(Dowell) Smith.
    Mr. Smith had resided in the Harrison area since 1997, moving from
Lake Orion.  During his younger years he was a tool & die maker, then
became a goldsmith.
     Surviving are one son and one daughter, a brother Robert A. Smith
of Savannah, Georgia, one grandson, a niece, Meagan Smith and his
co-workers at Enchanted Rock in Harrison.
     Cremation has taken place at North Central Michigan Crematory,
Marion, Michigan.  Arrangements were entrusted to Stocking Funeral Home,
Harrison.
