Obituary from the Clare County Cleaver, Sept. 30, 1999 

Betty J. Sharp, age 65 of Farwell, passed away Thursday, September 23,
1999 at the Mid Michigan Medical Center in Midland.  Betty was born the
daughter of Odil and Alice (Verhegghe) Colpaert on January 5, 1934 in
Monroe.  She married Clarence Sharp on August 4, 1951 in Monroe.  Betty
had lived in the Farwell area since coming from Monroe in 1961, she was
a active member of the Clare Church of the Nazarene.  She was a former
member of the T.O.P.S. club in Mt. Pleasant and enjoyed volunteering
wherever she was needed.
    Betty is survived by her husband Clarence; 2 sons, George (Rose)
Sharp and James (Toni) Sharp both of Farwell; a daughter Sharon (Bill)
Verdon of Stockton, Ill; her step father George Gallop; a sister Jean
(Russ) Sian of Farwell; 8 grandchildren : Chris, Nicholas, Darrin,
Kayla, Kyle, Alisha, Kelli, and Bailey, 2 great grandchilden: Keegan,
Tony and Isaac; and numerous nieces and nephews.  Betty was predeceased
by her mother, father and 3 brothers.
    Services took place Tuesday, Septemer 28 at ll:00 am at the Clare
Church of the Nazerene with Pastor Jim Young officiating.  Burial was in
the Surrey Twp. Cemetery.  Memorials may be made to the family of
Betty.  Arrangements by the Stephenson-Wyman Funeral Home Inc., of
Clare.
