Dorothy Elizabeth Tater, 75 of Harrison, passed away Tuesday, August l0, 1999 at Mid-Michigan Regional Medical Center, Clare, Micigan. Dorothy was born February 24, 1924, in Detroit, Michigan, the daughter of Fred and Ruth (Schermen) Yabs. Mrs. Tater had resided in the Harrison area since 1987 when she and her husband moved from Hersey, Michigan. Dorothy was a member of the Cornerstone Church, Clare, Michian. Dorothy E. Yabs was united in marriage to Louis A. Tater on June l, 1940 in Detroit. Surviving are her husband of 59 years, Louis A. Tater of Harrison, a daughter, Cynthia Graham and husband Fred of Freeland; two sons, Jody Tater and wife Marjorie of Venice, Florida, and James Tater of Big Rapids; hree grandchildren, Angela, John and Candis, one great-grandchild, Morghan, a sister, Charlotte Chapman of Toledo and a brother, Donald Yabs and wife Fran of Florida, plus other relatives and friends. Funeral servics were held Saturday, Auust 14, 1999 at 11:00 am from the Cornerstone Church, in Clare, Michigan, with Pastor Richard Hinkle officiating. Interment was in Pleasant Plains (Hayes Township) Cemetery, Harrison, Michigan. Arrangements were entrusted to the Stocking Funeral Home, Harrison, Michigan.
