Obituary from the Clare County Review, 4-6-200l Tressa Hamlin, age 100, passed away April 2, 2001 at home. She was born on May 28, 1900 in Dover to the late Irwin and Josephine (Tatman) Mizer. She moved to South Lyon in 1926. Tressa is survived by her children: Monterey Parker of South Lyon, Roma (John) Backhaus of South Lyon, and Richard (Julie) Hamlin of Florida; eight grandchildren, ll great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband St.Clair Hamlin in 1983 and her daughter, Virginia Donna Hamlin in 1924. A graveside service was held on Wednesday, April 4, at l2.00 pm at Cherry Grove Cemetery in Clare. Pastor Jane Ellen Johnson of the Farwell United Methodist Church officiated.
