The submitter has given permission to the MIGenWeb Archives to store the file permanently for free access. _____________________________________________________________________ Obituaries from the Clare County Review September 26, 1999 Rachel Mae Willey, 92, of Farwell, passed away on Tuesday, September 22, at the Northwoods Nursing Center in Farwell. She was born the daughter of Charles and Hattie (Crow) Mayo, on April 25, 1907 in West Olive, Michigan. She married Jefferson Willey in 1927, in Farwell, and he preceded her in death in 1974. Mrs. Willey had retired as the Clare Elementary School Librarian. She was a member of the Farwell Rebekah Lodge and the Farwell Church of Christ. Survivors include her three sons: Jefferson F. Willey of Rosebush, Edward and Camilla Willey and Joseph and Beverly Willey, all of Farwell, nine grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grand children. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Steven and four siblings. Funeral Services were held Friday, September 24 at l:30 pm from the Stephenson-Wyman Funeral Home in Clare, with Pastor Donald Mainprize officiating. Burial was in the Surrey Twp. Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Farwell Church of Christ or to Northwoods Nursing Center.
