Larry was born the son of John and Johanna (Myers) on September 18, 1910 in Cygnet, Ohio. Larry married Irene A. Bednark on November 27, 1930 in Muskegon and she predeceased him on July 29, 1999. Larry was the owner/operator of the Standard Oil/A&P in Clare. He also owned Gamble's Store in Scottville. Larry was a member of the St. Cecilia Catholic Church in Clare. He was a K of C Charter member, a past Grand Knight, a member at one time of the K of C of Scottville, he was also a member of the Scottville Optimist Club. Two daughters, Rita Murphy of Clare and Kay I. Hemmer of Ludington; a daughter-in-law Virginia Beck; a brother Fred Beck; two sisters, Jeanne Nordeen and Doris Hansen; l6 grandchildren; and 18 great grandchildren survive Larry. Three sons, Joseph, Dennis C. and L. Robert Beck predeceased Larry. Services took place on Monday, February 5, at ll:00 am at the St. Cecilia Catholic Church in Clare, with Father Joseph Ryan officiating. Burial was in the St. Cecilia Catholic Cemetery in Clare. Memorials may be made to the K of C Memorial for Right to Life. The Stephenson-Wyman Funeral Home, Inc. of Clare made arrangements. jic
