John Radamacher Given Severe Treatment Near Portland,Mich.
Portland, Mich., July 15. - Special Telegram. - Fifteen masked men met John
Radamacher on the Westphalia road last night, threw a rope around his neck, and
gagged him. After stripping the clothes off his back, they beat him terribly
with horse whips, and them released him. Radamacher belongs to a wealthy family,
and his relatives threaten to make it hot for the whitecaps, who accused
Radamacher of being in the habit of beating his wife.
