Funeral services were conducted by Rev. T.S. CLEAVER at the Osgood funeral home Tuesday afternoon and burial was made in the South Bingham cemetery. Luman BENNETT was born in New York state November 2, 1841. At the outbreak of the Civil War he volunteered for service in the Union Army but sickness prevented his marching to colors. At about that time he moved here and had been a resident of this county every since. He was united in marriage to Miss Harriet MOWAT of St. Johns and two children were born to them, both dying in infancy. Mrs. BENNETT passed away 33 years ago. Mr. BENNETT is survived by a sister, Mrs. Alice HULBERT of Detroit, and three brothers, Benzoni BENNETT of Chesaning, Charles of Kalamazoo, and Albert of Chapin.
