Hardening of Arteries Causes Death of Enos Blizzard
After several months illness with hardening of the arteries, Enos Blizzard 
passed away at his home on East Walker St. at 10 o'clock Tuesday forenoon, 
aged 62 years. Mr. Blizzard has been in ill health about three months, but had 
only been confined to the bed two weeks. Funeral services will be held at 3 
o'clock Friday afternoon at the home. Rev. Matt. Mullen of the Congregational 
church, officiating. Interment will be made in the St. Johns Cemetery.

Enos Blizzard was born in Medina Ohio, June 10, 1852. When a small child, he 
came with his parents to Clinton County Michigan and settled near the village 
of DeWitt. When still a small child, his father joined the army and died in 
the Civil War, leaving his mother with eight small children. Mr. Blizzard went 
to live with the family of Abner Flewleng, a neighbor, where he resided until 
he was 21 years of age. He went to Maple Rapids where his mother afterwards 
went also. On July2, 1879 he was united in marriage to Mrs. Sarah M. Moreland, 
who survives him. To this union wre born three children, two of whom died in 
infancy, and one, Miss Florence Blizzard, of this city. He also leaves a step-
son Chas. Moreland, living one mile north of town, an a step-daughter, Miss 
May Moreland, of this city; three sisters and three brothers-Oliver Blizzard, 
Mrs. Tate Miller and Mrs. Clara Payne of Maple Rapids; Charles of North Star; 
Thomas of Detroit, and Mrs. Millie Bunting of Alger, Mich. Mr Blizzard was a 
member of the M.W.A. of this city.
