Mrs. Alice Den Houten - Ovid
widow of Frank Den Houten
Died:  Clinton Memorial Hospital, Thursday morning - April 1, 1948 - 6 am - 
after having fallen in her home - West Clinton Street - sustaining a broken 
hip.
Funderal:  held at Houghton Funeral Home, Saturday - 2 pm - Rev. Thomas 
Pollard officiating
Burial:  Maple Grove Cemetery
Born: August 4, 1863 - Lina, NY
Parents:  John and Katherine Hayes
Lived in Ovid 52 years
Married:  Frank Den Houten - in Ovid - who operated a wallpaper and school 
supply store for many years.
Member:  United Church; Women's Society
Survivors: 1 daughter - Mrs. Cleo E. Baker of Jackson; 3 grandchildren; 2 
great-grandchildren; 2 brother - Maurice Hayes of Lafayette, Ind.
