Huggett Old Resident, Dead Thomas H. Huggett, son of Thomas and Sarah Huggett, was born at Schenectady. N.Y., March 24, 1839. When he was ten years of age he came with his parents to Oakland County, Michigan, where he resided four years, and then came to Clinton County, where he has since resided in Bingham and Olive Townships, until 1915, when he came to St. Johns, purchasing a home on East State street, where he passed away Sunday morning, May 14, 1922. Mr. Huggett was twice married: first, April 9, 1864 to Rachel L. Bain, who passed away July 23, 1908; and second, to Mary D. Phelps, September 12, 1917, who survives him. He Is also survived by one son, Wallace, of Olive, one sister, Mrs. Agnes Scott of Dewitt, besides other relatives and a large circle of friends and acquaintances. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at the late home, Rev. G. S. Northrup officiating and he was laid to rest in Bingham cemetery. Away from the storm, away from the strife.
