Her entire life had been spent in Clinton county and her education was received in the schools in her home town. May 17, 1905, she was united in marriage to Edward C. Schray of Dewitt township. Mrs. Schray was subject to heart trouble and this ailment caused her death. Besides her husband she is survived by one daughter, Stella, at home; three brothers, Homer and Elmer of Bath and Fred Jennison of Watertown; three sisters. Mrs. George Schoettle of Lansing, Mrs. William Kennedy of Bath and Miss Lena Jennison of Laingsburg arid other relatives and a host of friends. Her body was taken to the Estes Leadley Funeral Home where funeral services were conducted by Rev. M. E. Bowen pastor of the Emanuel M. E. church of Dewitt of which she was a member, Monday afternoon, January 30. 1933, and burial in the Hurd cemetery. Mrs. Schray was well known in the community, an active worker in all church and social events, a kind friend in sickness and extending comfort to those bereaved. She was a member of the Hurd cemetery association and also a member of the Trio school - Allen, Harlow and Hurd — picnic association. By her cheerful disposition she gained many friends which was manifested by the host of friends in attendance at her funeral who followed her to her last resting place. Rev. M. E. Bowen conducted the services at both funerals. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Oppenlander of Watertown sang the same selections, “There will be no night there" and “In the Garden,” Charles Crain at the Organ at Louis’ funeral and Mr. Tillotson at the piano at Mrs. Schray’s. The same pall bearers acted at both funerals. The relatives from a distance who attended both funerals were: Mr. and Mrs. George Kling of Grand Rapids, Albert Schray of Detroit, several families of the Greitenburgers of Okemos, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Kling and two daughters of Palo and Mr. and Mrs. George Kling of Quincy.
