These electronic pages may NOT be reproduced in any format for profit or presentation by other organizations. _____________________________________________________________________ Contributed by Patricia Fuller fullerpa@pilot.msu.edu OBITUARY - The Clinton Republican 03/26/1903 Mrs. Lucinia Munro who has been a sufferer for the past year or more from sarcoma, having been treated at Maple Rapids and Ann Arbor, but receiving no help, died at her home on west Main street Tuesday morning, aged 34 years, 8 months, 9 days. Mrs. Munro was converted and joined the M.E. church in Flushing at the early age of 9 years and remained a faithful member of the same until a few years ago when she united by card with the Fairfield U.B. church. She married Bedent Munro July 4, 1887. To them were born one daughter and three sons, the youngest being 4 months old, all of whom with her husband survive her. About 5 years ago she united with the L.O.T.M. carrying a policy of $1,000 of which she has received $150 disability claim. Miss Munro has shown a great amount of patience for one who has suffered for as long as she has. She leaves a host of friends to mourn her loss. Funeral will be held at the M.E. church today. OBITUARY - ST. Johns News 04/02/1903 Death of Lucinia E. Munro Mrs. Bedent Munro died March 24 of cancer of the mouth, after a long and painful illness, aged thirty-four years. Her maiden name was Lucinia E. Loop and she was born July 15, 1868. In 1888 she was married to Mr. Monroe, who with four children, a boy and three girls survives her. She also leaves a father, two sisters and two brothers. Since the age of fifteen she has been a devoted Christian, and during her illness of eighteen months she bore her suffering with patience and fortitude. Some years before her death she joined the L.O.T.M.M. of Elsie, with whom she carried $1,000 insurance, in favor of her husband. dz
