Lansing State Journal, Jan. 26, 1943
Portland, Jan. 26-Funeral services for John Marolf, 72, who died at the home 
Saturday, were held Monday morning at St. Patrick church. Rev. Joseph Kohler, 
officiated. Burial was made in Portland cemetery. He was born in Dallas 
township in Clinton county, December 25, 1871 and had lived in the vicinity of 
Portland for 30 years. He is survived by one sister, Mr. Frank Biergan of 
Portland.  

Additional Comments:
John was the son of Gertrude Barnes and John F. Marolf. 
His wife Ida preceded him in death in 1935.
