Rites Friday for Edwin B. Porter

Edwin B(enjamin) Porter - 81 - resident of St. Johns and vicinity past 65 years
Died:  Wednesday, March 28 - Clinton Memorial Hospital - after long illness
Born:  1874 in Nebraska - moved to Michigan in youth
Parents:  Orland and Radillo Chamberlain Porter  (Note: This is actually 
Orlando and Rodilla Chamberlain Porter)
Occupation:  Farmer, until retired about 30 years ago
Residence:  404 E. Cass St., St. Johns
Member:  First Baptist Church - St. Johns
Married:  the former Helena Drew - preceding him in death 9 years ago
Funeral:  Friday - Hoag Chapel - 2 pm
Burial: Mt. Rest Cemetery
Survivors:  1 son - Ralph G. Porter of East Lansing; 3 sisters - Mrs. Blanche 
Clark of Camden, Grace (Babbs) of Jackson, Mittia (Arminta) Kretzmar of 
Pittsford; 3 brothers - Elmer and Leonard of Pittsford, Levi of Florida  
(Note:  Elmer was actually Edwin's brother-in-law, Elmer Lester)
