STUTSON, CHARLES C.:

   THE CLINTON INDEPENDENT, MI, 1-30-1890, page 5:  "Charles C. Stutson,
youngest member of the family of M. G. and H. M. Stutson, of this village, died
1-23-1890 of consumption in his 27th year.  He had been making his headquarters
at Milwaukee for the last 2 years, employed as brakeman on the Chicago,
Milwaukee and St. Paul Railroad.  He had been troubled with the disease which
terminated his life about 6 years, and about 13 weeks previous to his death was
at the home of his parents of this village where he received the best of care. 
He was always very quiet, and usually found at home when not regularly employed.
 He was converted to the Congregational Church when a mere boy and was attending
upon the Sabbath school and church service, and as the scenes of his life were
fading away, he expressed himself as ready to meet his God.  Two loving sisters,
1 fond brother and a kind and indulgent mother and father survive him.  His
funeral took place last Sunday from the family residence, Reverend W. C. Allen
officiating.  His remains now rest in the St. Johns Cemetery.

who so kindly assisted us in our sorest troubles and bereavements during the
recent sickness, death and burial of our fond son, Charles.  And to those who so
freely bestowed choice flowers, as tokens of respect and esteem.  Gratefully
yours, Mr. and Mrs. M. G. Stutson"
