Chaudoir Christine A. Chaudoir, 95, of 610 S. 10th St., Escanaba, Mich., passed away on Sunday, Jan. 28, 2007, at St. Francis Hospital. Christine was born on April 8, 1911, in Fond du Lac, Wis., the daughter of Paul and Margaret Pickart Meixensperger. Raised in Fond du Lac, she attended St. Mary's Grade School and then Fond du Lac High School. She lived in Milwaukee, Wis., and Gary, Ind., before moving to Escanaba in 1947. She was employed by the Wisconsin Telephone Company, at J.C. Penney in Gary, and while residing in Escanaba, she worked at the Sears catalog store. Christine A. Meixensperger married George L. Chaudoir on Feb. 22, 1936, in Fond du Lac at St. Mary's Church. He preceded her in death on April 1, 1993. Christine was a kind and thoughtful person. She enjoyed knitting, playing bridge and bingo, sewing and reading. She was a member of St. Joseph and St. Patrick's Parish. Christine was an active member of St. Patrick's Church and school while she attended there. She is survived by her son, Michael (Gayle) of Escanaba; three daughters, Carole Nelson of Rhinelander, Mary (Dennis) Livermore of Marinette and Patricia (Richard) Salo of Grand Rapids; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; her sisters, Mary Foster of Fond du Lac and Margaret (Robert) Bartz of Hartford, Wis.; a brother, Claude (Babe) Meixensperger of Fond du Lac; sisters- in-law, Mary and Florabelle Meixensperger; nieces; and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a granddaughter, Jenny Livermore; and four brothers, Harry, Alphonse, Karl and Norbert. Services: A Mass of Christian Burial was held at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 31, 2007, at St. Joseph and St. Patrick Church with the Rev. Emmett Norden officiating. Burial will be in spring at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery. The family would like to thank Dr. Kulas and the nurses and nurse's aides of Christian Park Village and St. Francis Hospital.
