Lansing State Journal January 17, 1918
Iron Mountain - Walter Larson, 30, clerk in the Goodman Lumber company's 
store, was frozen to death on the St. Paul road at Anderson's spur near here.  
The man was walking toward Goodman from Penbine when he was taken with 
exhaustion.  John Champagne, a fellow employ, who was with him, came here for 
help a nd when the chief of police found Larson he was dead.
