Harry Barnard, Sr. Dies in Hospital.
Harry L. Barnard, Sr., 82, of 220 N. Sheldon St., died at 4 p.m. Sunday at 
Hayes-Green-Beach Hospital where he had been a patient for four hours.  He had 
been ill for three months.
Mr. Barnard was born Sept. 4, 1885, in Fowlerville, a son of Edward and Lucy 
(Finch) Barnard.  He had been a resident of Charlotte for the past 22 years 
coming here from Battle Creek.  He retired in 1950 as a machine operator from 
the Clark Equipment Co. in Battle Creek.
Surviving are his wife, Irene; five sons, Harry Jr., Dean and Marshall, all of 
Charlotte, Darwin of Lansing and Alden of Freeport; four daughters, Miss 
Dorene Barnard, Mrs. Harold (Marie) Saunders and Mrs. Denzel (Barbara) Mann, 
all of Charlotte, and Mrs. David (Noralen) Esterline of Jonesville; a sister, 
Mrs. Elsie Barry of Lansing; 24 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Pray Funeral Home.  
Interment was in Greenwood cemetery in Fowlerville.
