DEATH CLAIMS MRS CATHERYN BAUGHMAN

Catheryn Baughman, wife of David Baughman, died at her home in this village Tuesday 
morning. She had been in poor health a number of years. She was born in Sandusky 
County, Ohio, June 11, 1862, the daughter of Mr and Mrs Jacob Somers. She was
united in marriage to David Baughman May 3, 1837. They spent the first year of their 
married life in Pennsylvania, then returned to Ohio and came to Michigan about 40 years 
ago. They lived in the vicinity of Sunfield until 1914 when they moved to the village and 
have resided here since.

The funeral will be held at the United Brethren Church Friday. Burial in Sunfield 
Cemetery

Besides the husband, she is survived by two sons, Dale of Lansing and Orley of Sunfield; 
two daughters, Mrs Stella Sprague of Lansing and Mrs Oda Stambaugh of Nashville, and 
eight grandchildren. One son, Melvin, died about 24 years ago at the age of 25 years.
