Deceased was born in Pottersville, Michigan in 1869. He was married in 1897 to Miss Evaline Berts and the major portion of his married life was spent on a farm near Calamus, Iowa, and here was born the only surviving child, Ray, now a boy of nine years. One other child died at the age of 11 years and is buried in the Lost Nation Cemetery. Just one year ago Mr. Copenheffer abandoned farm work on account of failing health and came with his family to reside in Lost Nation. His health slowly declined despite the attention of the very best medical talent., and at times his suffering was acute, but always borne with remarkable patience and fortitude. The end, however, was peaceful and free from physical pain. The funeral will occur tomorrow from the Union Church, at one o'clock. Rev. H. T. Prell of Anderson, Indiana, will conduct the sevices, assisted by Rev. C. W. Cleveland of Elwood. Interment will be in the Lost Nation Cemetery.
