OBITUARY: DOROTHY E. CULVER

Dorothy E. Culver, 76, of Madison Street, Grand Ledge, died January 20,
1983 at her residence. A descendant of a Grand Ledge pioneer family, she
was a graduate of Grand Ledge High School and an art major student at Michigan
State University.

She had been employed as a medical secretary at the University of Michigan
Hospital, served the war department and Children's Hospital of Detroit
and was a former secretary to the dean of women at MSU.

She was a member of the First Congregational United Church of Christ of
Grand Ledge, the Beacons Club and the Grand Ledge Area Historical Society.

Funeral services were held Monday, January 24, at the Holihan Funeral Home
of Grand Ledge with the Rev. John Baumgartner of the First Congregational
United Church of Christ of Grand Ledge officiating. Interment was made
in Oakwood Cemetery, Grand Ledge.
