CURTIS VERMONTVILLE. May 3 - Funeral services were to be conducted Thursday at 2:30 p.m. from the Ward funeral home in Vermontville for Leonard R. Curtis, 84. Mr. Curtis died unexpectedly from a heart attack Monday evening at the home of a daughter, Mrs Floyd (Lillian) Titmarsh, where he had been making his home since his wife died two years ago. Born in Woodland Township October 16, 1866, he was a son of John and Mary (Cunningham) Curtis. He had been a farmer in this area for the past 50 years. Besides the daughter he is survived by one son, Elmer, Route 1, Vermontville; one granddaughter and three great-grandchildren. The services Thursday were to be in charge of Rev. Lorne Lee of the Nashville Church of the Nazarene, and he was to be buried beside his wife in the Woodland cemetery, Woodland. Pallbearers will be Carl Moon, Ward Hickok, Ben Slout, Dr. Orville Mater and Frank Snore.
