Mr. Deer suffered a heart attack Aug. 15 and passed away enroute to a Lansing hospital. He was born in Eaton County, a son of John and Melissia (Blanford) Deer. Mr. Deer, a farmer, was a lifelong resident of this area. His wife, Gladys, died in 1961. Officiating at the 2 p.m. rites was the Rev. Benjamin Davis, Interment in Sunfield Cemetery. Pallbearers: Verle Smith, Claude Smith, Wesley Bosworth, Stanley Bosworth, Gerald Deer and Richard Deer.
