Funeral services for Ora F. Frantz, 79, of rural Sunfield were held Saturday, April 2, 
1977, at the Mapes-Fisher Funeral Home in Sunfield. Mr. Frantz passed away Mar. 30 at 
the HGB Hospital in Charlotte where he had been a patient for a month. Mr. Frantz was 
born on Jan. 25, 1898 in Sunfield Twp, son of Mose & Sarah (Hoover) Frantz. Ora was a 
farmer for 57 years on the same farm on Sunfield Hwy, just south of town. He was united 
in marriage to Opal Green on June 11, 1919 in the same home where they lived all their 
married life. For many years he was a 4-H leader. 
Two sisters preceded him in death. 
Officating at the 2:30 p.m. rites were Rev. Theron Smith & 
Rev. Carl Olson of Sunfield. Burial in the Sunfield Cemetery..
