OBITUARY: JESSIE PRATT HOPE

Jessie Pratt Hope, 49, daughter of Thomas and Sarah Pratt, died at the
Nicols hospital, Battle Creek, Friday, October 25, where she had undergone
an operation.	

She was born in Sunfield Township May 30, 1880 and in 1896 was united in
marriage to Alfred H. Hope. She had lived in this vicinity until 1917 when
they moved to Grand Ledge where they lived until about a year ago when
they moved to a farm near Bellevue, where she resided at the time of her
death.. Mrs Hope had been in poor health for several months but her illness
was not thought to be of a serious nature.

She leaves to mourn their loss, a devoted husband, Alfred H. Hope of Bellevue,
two sons, Lye of Belle Oak, Verle of Grand Ledge, and a sister, Mrs Bona
Eldred of Sunfield, besides other relatives and friends.

The funeral was held at the Sunfield church of the Brethren Monday afternoon
with Rev. Clark Phillips of Vermontville officiating. Interment was in
the Sunfield cemetery.
