Mr Holton took the gun and went into the yard remarking he would soon go to bed, that his bed was ready. George Holton, son of George A. and Ruththilda Holton was born in Sunfield, May 10th, 1889. His boyhood days were spent in this vicinity. In 1911 he was united in marriage to Miss Bertha May Brown and to this union were born 12 children, of whom 11 survive, Otto, Lawrence, Carl, Eldon, Earl, June, Junior, Julia, Aleatha, George, Jr., and Betty Lou. Besides the wife and children he is survived by five brothers, A.V. Holton of Hoytville, John of Climax, Peter and Charles of Sunfield, and four sisters Mrs Rose Ward of Sebewa, Mrs Ruththilda Laing of Lansing, Mrs Lillie Carey and Mrs Nina Joppie of this village. About six years ago Mr Holton was seriously injured while working on a thrashing machine and has had several operations but suffered continually from the injury. Mr and Mrs Holton with their family moved to Sunfield village in February. He was employed on WPA project.
