A. and H. L. Lown Passed Away Friday Allan N. Lown passed away at the home of his son, Dr. C.A. Lown on E. Jefferson st., Friday, February 25, aged 78 years, six months and 29 days. He is survived by his wife and two sons, Dr. C.A. Lown of this city and Dr. H.L. Lown of Lansing, formerly of this city, and one granddaughter. The deceased was born June 26, 1837, in Washtenaw county, and was married to Elizabeth Luce, January 1, 1862. They have spent their lives in Michigan and in western states, and have been residents of this city the past seven years. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon, Rev. J.R. Wooton officiating. Burial was made in Oakwood. Those from out of town to attend the funeral were: E.M. Crippen, Mrs. E. L. Bidwell, Mrs. J.H. Gambel, L.R. Bird, D.A. Bird, Mr. and Mrs. H.C. Lown of Brighton, Mr. and Mrs. Chas. E. Lown and daughter of Saginaw, Dr. H.L. Lown and Miss Ivah Paine of Lansing.
