No Blame Attached To Driver Who Hit Him Charles Lundquist, 52, son of Mr and Mrs Jacob Lundquist, Sunfield Township pioneers, was instantly killed between the Earl Clever and Jay Green farms on U. S. 27 about 7 p.m. Monday night. He was hit by a car driven by Edward Howard, a Charlotte young man, who brought the injured man to the Community hospital. His neck was broken and he died instantly in the opinion of Dr. H. A. Moyer. Lundquist, according to the officer, was driving to Lansing and his car had run out of gas and he was walking back to Charlotte. According to Howard and his aunt, who was with him, Lundquist was walking down the center of the pavement with the traffic, and they did not notice the object until too late to turn. No blame is attached to the driver, who personally reported to the officers and told his story. dz
