OBITUARY: MRS MARY A. MAGRUM

Mrs Mary A. Magrum died at the home of her daughter, Mrs D. R. Finley on
Wednesday evening, January 3, of cancer of the liver.

Mrs Magrum has resided in Charlotte since the death of her husband, and
came here to her daughter's in November for a few days rest, as she was
not feeling well. Instead of getting better she gradually failed until
her demise. She was born in Virginia in 1847 and was 56 years, 11 months
and 8 days old at her death. She was the mother of nine children, seven
of whom survive her.

The funeral was held in St. Mary's Church on Saturday morning and interment
was made in the Gresham Cemetery.
