All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/mi/mifiles.htm ************************************************ SUNFIELD SENTINEL Thursday, January 6, 1938 RUTH LAVON MURPHY Ruth Lavon, the youngest daughter of Elba and Mary Murphy was born in Sunfield, Michigan, September 21, 1928, and departed this life December 31, 1937, at the age of 9 years, 3 months and 10 days. She is survived by her parents, one half brother, Carl G. Sackett of Mattawan, Clair of Battle Creek, Lawrence of Madgelena, New Mexico; Verlin of Woodland; five sisters, Mrs Daisy Johnson of Bedford, Mrs Barabra Bliter of Dallas, Texas, Norma of Battle Creek, Beatrice and Laura at home, two nephews and seven nieces, many other relatives and a host of friends, and her beloved teacher, Mrs Arlie Spindler. The funeral was held at the Woodbury United Brethren Church, January 4th, at 11 a.m. Her pastor, Rev. E. M. Wheeler, officiating assisted by Presiding Elder Rev. Don Carrick and Rev. George Klopfinstein of the Evangelical Church. Interment in the Sunfield Cemetery. Jesus came to carry the lamb in His arms that the sheep might follow and she is reaching from Paradise bringing the glory of God down to earth to lead us to meet our Heavenly Father.
