Lansing State Journal:
Mr. Martens, died Feb 25, 1990 in Charlotte following a lengthy illness at the age of 46. 
He was a real estate broker for Shellhorn Century 21 and Joe Montgomery Builders. He 
was a 1962 graduate of Charlotte High School and a 1967 graduate of Michigan State 
University; a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church; the Charlotte Country Club; MSU 
Varsity Alumni Club; and a former member of the Charlotte Rotary and Charlotte 
Jaycees. He is survived by his daughter; his son; his parents; 6 sisters; his former wife; 
several nieces and nephews and many special friends. 
Rosary Services will be Tuesday, 9 p.m. at the Pray Funeral Home 
with the Funeral Mass at 11  a.m. Thursday, March 1, at St. Mary's Catholic Church with 
Fr. Thomas Butler as Celebrant. Interment will be in Maple Hill Cemetery. Memorials 
may be made to a scholarship trust for his children or the Charlotte Athletic Boosters..
