Ring, 72, of Charlotte, died Sept. 20, 1988, at Hayes Green Beach Hospital. Mr. Ring was born in Ford County, Ill., the son of Erval R. & Helen E. Ring, and had been a Charlotte resident since 1950, coming from Belding. He had been employed at Aluminum Extrusions in Charlotte retiring in 1982 after 32 years of service. He was a member of the Peace Lutheran Church and its Church Council, had served in the U.S. Army during World War II, and was a member of the Charlotte Eagles Aerie No. 3552, the Maple City Post No. 2406 VFW, and Greenawalt-Flaherty Post No. 46 American Legion. Suviving are one son & daughter-in-law; one daughter and son-in-law; five grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; and one sister. He was preceded in death by one son, Terry Lee Ring in 1951, and by his wife, Charlotte (Henry) Ring in 1979. Services were Sept. 22 at the Peace Lutheran Church. Interment in Maple Hill Cemetery.
