MRS EDITH E. SPRAGUE

Mrs Edith E. Sprague, 78, of Chester Township, died Monday at the Hayes Green 
Beach hospital where she had been a patient for the past 10 weeks. She was born 
December 10, 1871, in Chester Township, the daughter of Henry and Hannah Wells 
Prindle. She was a lifelong resident of Chester Township and the widow of Del 
Sprague, who died March 22, 1940. She was a member of the West Chester Extension 
club and the Progressive Birthday club. For many years she served as 
correspondent in her neighborhood for the Tribune and later in the early years of 
the R-T. Mrs. Sprague was a leader and took an interest in al matters having to 
do with civic and cultural advancement. Surviving are a daughter and a son. 
Funeral services were held Wednesday from the Pray funeral home. Rev. Marjorie Hawkins 
officiating. Burial in Gresham cemetery.
