The coroner was notified and a jury impaneled. It was ascertained that Shutterly had been killed in all probability, by a fall to the ground from the door of the hayloft of the barn, a distance of about twenty feet. Shutterly it is stated was drunk Wednesday and that night climbed up into the hayloft to sleep over night. It is supposed that while moving about the barn in a befuddled mental condition he accidentally walked out of the open door. Death it was believed had been instantaneous. The jury returned a verdict that his death was due to Shutterly's own carelessness. The deceased was about 47 years of age and a single man.
