Frederick D. Shumaker, 75, of Charlotte, died Dec. 12, 1989, at Ingham
Medical Center, Lansing.

Mr. Shumaker was born in East Jordan and had been a Charlotte resident since 1943, coming
from Copemish.

He was employed at the L.L. Johnson Lumber Co., Charlotte, retiring in
1979 after 37 years. He was also a farmer. He attended the Charlotte United
Brethren Church and was a member of it's Victory Class. He was a former
member of the Center Eaton United Methodist Church.

He was preceded in death by his daughter and son-in-law, Lila & Harold
Ryan, and his brothers, Edward, John, and Richard Shumaker.

Services were held Dec. 15 at the Charlotte United Brethren Church. Arrangements
by Burkhead-Green Funeral Home, Charlotte. Interment in Center Eaton Cemetery.
