Geraldine Bell Smith, 73, of Bellevue, died Aug. 11, 1988 at her residence.

Mrs. Smith was born in Eaton County. 
She was the cook at the Maker's Food Store Restaurant in Charlotte
in the early 1950s. She moved to Croton Dam in 1960 where she and her husband,
Donald, were self-employed restauranteurs for years. She then worked in
the kitchen of the Newaygo Public Schools until her retirement in 1974.


Services were Aug. 15 at Pray Funeral Home, Charlotte. Interment in Maple
Hill Cemetery, Charlotte.
