Fern R. (Kinsey) Smith, 76, of Bellevue, died Nov. 9, 1988, at Leila Hospital,
Battle Creek. She had been in ill health for seven years.

She was born in Holly and came to Bellevue in 1918 with her family. She
was a telephone operator for an independent telephone company until she
married. She was a member of the Bellevue/Olivet Chapter No. 196 Order
of Eastern Star, the Bellevue Baptist Church, and was a volunteer with
the Bellevue Rescue Squad for several years.

Services were held Nov. 11 at the Lehman Chapel, Shaw Funeral Home, Bellevue.
Interment in Riverside Cemetery.
