Gertrude Thuma.
Gertrude Thuma, 75, a lifelong resident of this area, passed away Saturday, 
May 26, at a Charlotte convelescent home where she had been a patient for a 
short time.  Before going there she lived with her son, Arlo.
Mrs. Thuma was born in Brookfield township on October 2, 1880.  She was a 
member of the Goodwill club, the Rebekahs and the Royal Neighbors.
Surviving are three sons, Lynn of Eaton Rapids, Harold and Arlo, both of Route 
4; a sister, Mrs. Josephine Miller of Homer and nine grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Tuesday at the Pettit Funeral home, the Rev. E. A. 
Kelford officiating.  Burial was in Hamlin cemetery.
