Thuma, 57 years of age, died Thursday afternoon at the Eaton Rapids Community Hospital. He had been ill for the past two years. Lynn was born December 1, 1917 in Eaton County and was a lifetime resident of the area. Son of Perry and Gertie Keesler Thuma, he was a watch maker by trade and operated his own jewelry and watch repair store for many years. Surviving is his wife, Mary; four sons, Douglas, with the Army in Arizona, Terry and Jay of Eaton Rapids and Garold of Dimondale; one daughter, Mrs. Karen Sleeper of Ft. Supply, Oklahoma; one brother, Harold of Eaton Rapids; four grandsons and two granddaughters. Services were held Monday, April 7th from the Skinner Chapel with Rev. Russell Payne, former minister of the Nazarene Church, officiating. Interment was in the Plains Cemetery. Casket bearers were Arthur and Arnold Thuma, Roger Bryner, Alvin Finney, and Norman and Thomas Keesler. Additional Comments: Correction: "four grandsons and two granddaughters" should have been four granddaughters and two grandsons.
