Simon Thuma, who moved from Brookfield to this city three years ago, died at 
the family home, on Hall street, last Friday.  The funeral took place from the 
Methodist church Sunday afternoon, Rev. L. E. Lennox officiating.  Deceased 
was a veteran of the civil war, and the local Grand Army post, of which he was 
a member, attended the funeral in a body.  Mr. Thuma was one of the highly 
respected citizens of this community and a wide circle of friends mourn his 
death.
